Cardinal Services Receives $50,000 Grant From Community Foundation

Cardinal Services has been selected to receive a $50,000 grant from the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. Each year, the Board of Directors of the Foundation selects one organization to receive a high impact proactive grant.
The $50,000 grant is being made from the Lilly Unrestricted Endowment Fund, a component fund of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. It is designated to the future home of Cardinal Services.
Cardinal has been assisting and advocating for people with disabilities and challenges since 1954. Their programs help these individuals to live lives full of dignity, growth, and opportunity. The many programs of Cardinal Services include, Early Head Start, Head Start, Healthy Families, Kosciusko County WIC Program, Kosciusko Area Bus Service (KABS), and Affordable Housing. Cardinal Services also offers adult work services, day services, residential programs, and community job assistance
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Cardinal Services relies on the support of donors. By moving into a larger building, Cardinal Services will be better equipped to provide programs and services. “These critical programs and services align with the Community Foundation’s priorities to serve our residents, increase access to childcare, and build the workforce,” said Suzie Light, CEO of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation. “The new Cardinal Services facility is important to our community and the Board of Directors is pleased to award Cardinal Services this year’s high impact proactive grant.”
Since 1968, Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc. has helped donors achieve their charitable dreams. The Community Foundation is a public charity that grants about $3 million annually in the areas of education, health, arts and culture, recreation, civic projects, environment and human services.
