Available Funds
A Community Fund provides the Foundation with the flexibility to decide where the earnings can be used most effectively each year to meet the community’s needs as they change from generation to generation.
Established by William and Debrah Katip in memory of their beloved grandson, Aiden William Katip, to meet the changing needs of Kosciusko County, forever. Aiden was 8-years-old when he passed away in 2018 as the result of injuries he sustained in a house fire.
Established by Ron Baumgartner in memory of his parents, Arch and Della Baumgartner, to meet the changing needs of the community, forever. Arch and Della Baumgartner operated The Paper’s Inc. for many years – a company that is now owned and managed by their son, Ron. The gift that established this fund was matched by Lilly Endowment Inc. as part of the GIFT VI initiative.

Community Funds are used to meet the changing needs of our community. Typically, community funds are awarded to area nonprofits in response to a grant application that is reviewed by our grant committee and approved by our Board. Community Funds can address education, health, recreation, arts & culture, civic projects, the environment, and human services.

Created by Keri Cook in memory of her son, Gidieon Orion Cook, who tragically passed away in June 2019 at the age of 8. This fund will help meet the changing needs of the Kosciusko County community.
Established through a Charitable Remainder Trust, this advised fund first provided Richard and Evelyn Glover the opportunity to recommend grants to charitable organizations and projects during their lifetimes, and then provided their daughter, Jane, the same opportunity during her lifetime.
