Established as a result of intensive study through a Kosciusko Leadership Academy white paper project to address the urgent communication challenges for firefighters as a result of narrowing radio band widths and our county’s varied topography.

Established in 2003 through a gift from National City Bank for the purpose of inspiring and recognizing the spirit of volunteerism in Kosciusko County through the Heart of Gold Awards celebration and other events or methods that build social capital.

Established with a gift from Multi-township EMS Corporation to provide charitable support to Kosciusko County and nearby communities to assist fire departments, law enforcement and emergency services, and to meet needs related to emergencies.

Provides the Fair Board with an annual income for use to fulfill the mission of the fair.

Created to instill, promote and encourage patriotism. When fully funded, it will make grants for the purchase and replacement of U.S. flags, state flags and flags for public display, and for the funding and promotion of patriotic awards, educational events and programs in Kosciusko County.

Created by the Kosciusko Crime Stoppers to provide support for their program, which aims to help prevent and solve crime.

Created by many donors who support the Kosciusko Leadership Academy (KLA) in recognition of the contributions to KLA made by Jean Northenor. The endowment fund provides an annual Northenor Award, which is presented to a worthy White Paper project produced by a KLA team of graduates.

Established to provide support to the Winona Lake Volunteer Firefighters, Inc., including but not limited to, providing education and training materials, training videos, training sessions, and reimbursement for attending educational conferences and seminars.

Provides operating support for the Orthopedics Capital Foundation to ensure a vibrant, thriving community through activities related to talent development, talent attraction and innovation/entrepreneurship.

Established by Robert and Elizabeth Harkness to provide support for an acquisition, maintenance, support, and training of canines for police departments serving Kosciusko County.

Established by the Kosciusko County Community Foundation in honor of retired CEO Suzie Light and her 27 years of leadership and service. The fund will provide support to Kosciusko County based nonprofit corporations to participate in staff training, board training, strategic planning, or other methodologies that would be beneficial to improving nonprofit capacity and long term sustainability.
